Hello

I'm Suzanne and I work as a freelance designer & developer.

After 5+ years in the world of apparel, I have gathered a high level of experience in the area of product development of sports apparel. In combination with my background in fashion design, I have the ability to offer:

a total package where I can guide the complete process from initial design concept, material selection, technical drawings, size specs and communication to suppliers, all the way through to reviewing prototypes and signing these off for production

I am also available to guide a specific part of the design and/or development process, depending on the needs of your company.

My experience lies in the casual wear and sportswear segment in which I have worked on men's, women's and kids product. I have developed an accurate eye for commercial fit & aesthetic, with special expertise in functional outerwear and woven bottoms.

I am a highly motivated, flexible, adaptable and committed person with a creative mindset, a keen eye for detail and a great enthusiasm for new and exciting places & people.

my history:

Until '09, I worked in product development of sports apparel at Nike. Before I started at Nike, I lived in London where I studied Fashion Promotion & Media at London College of Fashion. I really enjoyed seeing how the fashion world works outside of the Netherlands.

I graduated in fashion design in 2004 at HKU Utrecht, the Netherlands. I spent a year at Duperrée, a design school in Paris. After my course, I worked as an intern at the accessories department of Chloé and I helped out Irish designer Sharon Wauchob in the period prior to her S/S '04 catwalk show.
